What is the difference between a planetary reducer and a general reducer?
Reducer is generally used for low speed and high torque transmission equipment, to achieve the purpose of slowing down through the gear with
less number of teeth in input shaft to mesh the big gear of a motor or internal combustion engine or other high-speed operation. Ordinary speed reducer will also have a few on the same principle of gear to achieve the desired deceleration effect.
The ratio of the tooth number of the small gear and big gear is gear ratio. Reducer is a power transmission mechanism, Using the speed converter of the gear to reduce the number of motor rotation to our needing rotation, and to get a larger torque.
■ Functions of reducer
1) Reducing the speed at the same time increasing the output torque. Torque output ratio is the motor output multiply the reduction ratio, but pay attention not to exceed the rated torque of the reducer.
2) reducing the inertia of the load, at the same time, reducing the inertia of the square. General motors have an inertia value.
■ Categories of reducers
General reducers include helical gear reducer (including parallel shaft helical gear reducer, worm gear reducer, bevel gear reducer, etc.), planetary gear reducer , cycloidal pin gear speed reducer, worm gear reducer, frictional planet type mechanical stepless reducer, etc..
■ Familiar types of reducers
1) The main characteristics of the worm gear reducer is a reverse lock function. It has a larger reduction ratio, and the input shaft and output shaft is not on the same axis, nor in the same plane. But the general volume is larger, with a low transmission efficiency and accuracy.
2) The harmonic reducer transmission utilizes elastic deformation of flexible element to transfer movement and power. The volume is small and the precision is high, but the disadvantage is that the flexible wheel life is limited, But the disadvantage is that the flexible wheel life is limited, week in impact, rigid and metal parts are relatively poor. Input speed cannot be too high.
3) The advantages of planetary reducer are compact structure, small return space, high precision, long service life, high rated output torque. But the price is a little expensive.
